We are two ladies that design patterns in what we call chickenknitting. This is a type of stranded knitting depicting symbols that tells something about the person the garment is meant for. We are authors of the book Hønsestrikk til folket, that was published in Norway and Denmark in 2014, and in the US in 2016 and UK in 2015. We hope to inspire more knitters to this funny way to knit.
Cecilie Kaurin learned her crafting skills from her mother and grandmother who always had some textile work at hand. She is most inspired by nature, hunting, gardening and fishing. Linn Bryhn Jacobsen has always enjoyed working with textiles. Her areas of expertise include knitting and crochet. Linn lives near Ostmarka in Norway. She is passionate about photography and feels at her best when walking in the woods with her Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Ronja.
